It is HIPAA compliant and features a seamless integration of Medical Billing, Appointment
Scheduling and Patient Information, providing the physician
a tool that contains all the financial, clinical, and operational
elements for a successful running dental practice.
Presently three versions of Dental Practice Management System
(DPMS) are available:
DPMS for Individuals: This is an excellent practice
management tool for Dentists running their own individual
dental clinics. The hardware required is a Pentium PC running
Windows XP / 2000 / 2003 with a 15 / 17 " good monitor.
DPMS Poly: This tool has been designed keeping in mind
the requirement of polyclinics having more that one dentist.
The hardware and software require nets are as follows:
Database Server: Windows 2000 / XP / 2003, Unix, Linux
Client: Pentium PC having Windows
DPMS Enterprise: This tool has been designed keeping
in mind the requirement of Dental Schools. The hardware and
software requirements are as follows:
Database Server: Windows 2000 / XP / 2003, Unix, Linux
Client: Pentium PC having Windows
Normally in such scenarios about 50 workstations can be connected
with a single server. If there are more computers than that,
then one might need the second server to handle the load.
With multiple servers, one would run the database in cluster
configuration, with the load distributed between the servers.
If one wishes to use clustering, they cannot currently use
Windows for the servers, but should instead use Linux, Unix,
or MacOs
